Extreme cowboy racing is ridden against the clock through a course of obstacles: gates, bridges, water, logs, a backing chute, a drag or a pen. Each obstacle is judged for horsemanship and the horse's willingness as well as for speed, so a clean, confident round can beat a faster one.
Classes are run by experience and age, from youth and novice through to the open classes. Each event's page lists the classes on its own program and the fee for each, and where the organiser takes entries through Horsify you enter and pay in one go.
Browsing events and creating a rider account are free; what you pay to enter is set by the event organiser. Some clubs include Horsify's rate in their entry fees; others show it as a platform fee at checkout. A club's platform fee applies to online payments only — pay the club directly by cash or bank transfer and nothing is added.
